Who We Are
The Coast Forest Policy Coalition (CFPC) brings together coastal forest industry leaders, businesses, associations, and union representatives representing the vast majority of BC’s coastal forest industry. We are united in our commitment to advance the economic prosperity of the coastal forest sector, its communities, and its workforce.
Our VISION
The Coalition looks to create the conditions for a healthy, sustainable, and prosperous coastal forest sector that delivers high-paying economic opportunities — including for First Nations — while balancing the environmental, economic, and social values of our forests and supporting a resilient forest industry on Vancouver Island and the coast. The Coalition strives to create a supportive investment climate to support current and future forestry in British Columbia.
Our Purpose
Through policy analysis and collaboration, we provide constructive, solutions-oriented advice to government on forest policy matters. With a unified voice, the Coalition supports government accountability and advocates for policies that sustain a strong coastal forest sector—and, in turn, the coastal communities where stability and opportunity are closely tied to a healthy forest sector.
